Alongside performing, Tamzin works as a producer and in February 2024, she graduated with the highest grade in Directing and Producing TV Entertainment at The National Film and Television School. 

Drawn to stories with love, family, community or hope at its core, here are some examples of her work as a producer:

THEATRE | 70 MINS

DOUGHNUTS AND ICE CREAM

"When a health scare goes from bad to worse, we see this group become not only a safe place to thrive, but also a safe space to break."

This workshop theatre production ran for 5 days (April 17th - April 21st) and had a fully sold out run at the Broadway Catford Theatre. A story of love and friendship, exploring the difficulties presented in the lengthy journey to an endometriosis diagnosis, the show received outstanding feedback.

BONGO'S BIG ADVENTURE

Bongo’s Big Adventure is a children’s puppet show musical, following a little honey-badger called Bongo as he learns that it’s not about making mistakes, but rather how we get back up again.

A 24-minute TV Pilot, produced by Tamzin Murray and directed by Matthew Branston. We had a cast and crew of over 50 people, shooting for 5 days with 2 prep days, with multiple locations including a life-size 360 degree street set. The show included slapstick elements, practical effects, 8 main cast members, and also 5 2-3 minute long music videos, one of which included a full troupe of dancers.

SKY ARTS: DARBAR FESTIVAL

Discover the world of Indian classical music from this year's Darbar Festival at the Barbican Centre. This year’s headlining musicians Ranjani & Gayatri (Carnatic vocal), Anupama Bhagwat (sitar), Jyoti Hegde (rudra veena) plus wellbeing practitioners Kanwal Ahluwalia and Jagdeep Kaur demystify Indian sounds and music..

A community-centered project, coordinating the Women in Music: Darbar Festival epsiodes included crew management (5 teams of 5-15), liaising with artists, venue management as well as working closely with the executive producer and producer on the running of the epsiodes and the live events.

AFTER HOURS

A 45-minute LIVE arts, music and culture magazine show

Producing this show consisted of sourcing talent such as Neo-Soul artist Nia Ekanem, self-taught martial artist Shaina West (Marvel's Black Widow, The Woman King) and puppet builder Lisa Ott. We also covered a collaboration between Hackney Empire and Boy Blue, as 100 inspiring young people came together to devise a show over 5 days, called ONLY JOY ALOUD.

THE YEAR OF THE GENTLEMEN

The Year of the Gentlemen is a series of short interviews featuring successful young men from a variety of different fields and backgrounds with the hope of inspiring a generation to look inside themselves and see that they too, no matter the scale or platform, are and will always be a success.
